I recently found a printout of an email that I received about 20 years ago from a friend who was working as an exploration Geologist. I found this to be an interesting story. Hope you enjoy it as well.

The cache name comes from the book "The Purloined Letter" by Edgar Allan Poe. Purloined means stolen and the book refers to a stolen letter that was then hidden in plain sight. The missing numbers are hidden in plain sight.
