Geocache Description:

This cache has been hidden as a challenge for the "While We Still Can" meet up in Doha on 4th May which I sadly cannot attend. And will hopefully stand as a fun summer cache for those hiding from the Doha heat every summer, and in need of a blast of cool air at the mall. GZ is not at the posted location but is very nearby. You'll need to walk around the mall to solve the clues.

It gets hot here in Doha during the summer. Whilst still the first week of May, I was gasping for air as the taxi dropped me off at the western of the two canopies. He had no air conditioning you see, and he drove like a maniac.  I paid the man, rolled out of the car and into the freezing breeze of the mall's air-con.

I lurched to my right and stumbled along the passageway under bright lights. I needed a cold drink and found an Italian place that called to mind a cartoon ghost. Yet they were having none of it. Maybe I looked a mess or maybe they were just rude but I was not welcome here. "Why not?". The hostess glanced at a picture behind her and it was of me. "Banned for Life" was written underneath. She leaned towards me, "they still remember what you did at the grand opening of this chain in Beirut. Do you now remember?. I could not. It was so many years ago. A= Year + 2

And so I continued, and on my left I saw a British pharmacy. I pondered buying something to help but no; water was what I needed. As I passed by however I looked at the name of the brand. It looked like it had numbers in it. In the Roman numerical system those numbers are different than those in the Arabic numbering system. But only in the Roman system could they be numbers and letters. B = How many of those numbers that could also be letters in both English & Arabic.

As I pressed on my options were to return to the heat or continue to the French supermarket. It seemed so obvious what to do. But as I entered the supermarket I was told by the security guard I cannot come in. "There's a fire, you see, and there's no way to put it out. It's dangerous for customers to be here". I told him that I just needed water. He told me that he needs water too. "If you can locate something that can put out the fire then I shall get you a nice cool bottle of water whilst you are gone". So I headed downstairs. as I left I head him shout after me. "You know, it's funny. This supermarket is French but in English the name contains a number". C= That number divided by 2

On the travelator I overheard a conversation between two British women. They were talking about home, Muswell Hill in London. One of them was planning to send a postcard to her parents house but she didn't know the postcode. Her friend said that there was free wifi in the mall, and suggested she got online to see what what it was. But as they tried they couldn't. The WiFi was broken you see. So she couldn't send her postcard to Muswell Hill

As I got to the end of the travelator I had three options and one looked good for young children if their parents had some spare cash to burn. And speaking of burning, I needed something to put out the fire. As I headed out into the car park I immediately remembered the conversation about Muswell Hill. So too did the ladies, they were right behind me. As I fetched the fire extinguisher from its container They passed to my left and to their left was a post with a number on it. "Ahhh" They said. "That's the postal area code for Muswell Hill. What a funny coincidence". D = The letter's numerical place in the alphabet (Where A=1, B=2, Z=26 etc...) divided by 2

As I headed back upstairs the guard was thankful and handed me the water.... "I will go and put out the fire and then the customers can enter the supermarket again". But when he returned he had failed, the extinguisher wasn't enough. "We need a fire hydrant he said". But I had no idea where to find one. "Take this", he said as he passed me a slip of paper. This will take you to the Fire Hydrant.

That piece of paper read: N 25° AA.AAB' E 51° CD.8DC'

I thanked him and said goodbye. I quickly found the fire hydrant, told the guard at that end of the mall there was a fire that needed putting out. I Drank my water and headed back into the heat in search of another adventure.
