Back in 1990, the city of Newbern purchased Illinois Central Depot that was located in their business district. In 1992, Newbern started "Depot Days" to raise funds for renovating the unsightly structure. The depot was placed on the National Register of Historical Places in 1993. If you come by Newbern the 3rd Saturday of September, swing on by for the longest continually held festival in Dyer County for some arts and crafts, good food, live music and other activities. Log only. BYOP. High muggle are so be sneaky.
Enjoy and have fun!!
