[IdM] Itinerari della Memoria

Una serie di cache, di solito in uscita il 25 aprile, dedicate al ricordo di chi combattè contro l'oppressione dei nazi-fascisti per la libertà di noi tutti.

Leopoldo Scalcini "Mina"

Ufficiale di artiglieria, dopo l'8 settembre costituisce sui monti di Colico (Bassa Valtellina) le prime formazioni partigiane.
Regge con i suoi uomini l'urto del grande rastrellamento del '44, non ripara in Svizzera, resta invece sulle montagne con il compito di raccogliere gli sbandati.
Catturato con altri 34 partigiani al Culmine di San Pietro (Valsassina) il 30 dicembre del '44 viene ucciso durante il tentativo di fuga attuato mentre veniva portato alla fucilazione a Introbio.
Nella primavera del 1945 a lui verrà intitolata la 89° Brigata Mina che opererà dalla val Gerola fino a Colico.

LA CACHE

A Colico, dove un tempo sorgeva l'albergo Isolabella, di proprietà della famiglia Scalcini, è stata posta una targa alla sua memoria.
La targa ricorda che "proprio qui, il 28 aprile 1945, venne firmata la resa al Comando Partigiano Zona Valtellina Alto Lago-CLNAI della colonna tedesca che scortava il Duce, epilogo del tragico periodo della dittatura fascista e dell'occupazione nazista."

Prendete la data di apposizione della targa in basso a sinistra e trasformatela nel formato GG/MM/AAAA; le cifre rappresentate saranno AB/CD/EFGH

A series of caches, usually published on April 25th, dedicated to the memory of those who fought against the oppression of the nazi-fascists for the freedom of all of us.

Leopoldo Scalcini "Mina"

Artillery officer, after the 8th of September 1943 it constitutes the first partisan formations in the Colico mountains (Lower Valtellina).
With his men he holds the brunt of the big fascist raid in 1944, he does not repair in Switzerland, but instead remains in the mountains with the task of collecting the stragglers.
Captured with 34 other partisans at Culmine di San Pietro (Valsassina) on 30 December 1944, he was killed during the attempted escape while being taken to Introbio.
In the spring of 1945 the 89th Mina Brigade will be named after him and will operate from the Gerola valley to Colico.

THE CACHE

In Colico, where the Hotel Isolabella once stood, owned by the Scalcini family, a plaque was placed on his memory.
The plaque recalls that "right here, on April 28, 1945, the surrender was signed to the Partisan Command Zona Valtellina Alto Lago-CLNAI by the German column which escorted Mussolini, the epilogue of the tragic period of the fascist dictatorship and the Nazi occupation."

Take the date of affixing the plaque on the bottom left and transform it into the format DD/MM/YYYY; then consider the numbers as AB/CD/EFGH
