This is our first hide of hopefully many. It has been placed next to the Howard Chandler Scout Hut, home to 4th Romsey Scouts of which we are a member of. We feel very lucky to be part of this amazing group and to be able to use this beautiful part of the New Forest. The fence right next to the cache happens to be the border between Hampshire and Wiltshire! Road side parking available near cattle grid but please take care. And remember to bring a pen! Please respect your surroundings - take only memories, leave only footprints. Also, never ever feed the wild ponies & donkeys. They get all their food & water needs in the forest. Feeding them will make them aggressive when they pester other people for food in the future. It's also best not to stroke them - they are wild and can be erratic and kick people. Please note that this cache is located on Forestry Commission land and has been placed in accordance with the GAGB (Geocaching Association of Great Britain) - Forestry Commission Agreement. Due to this agreement, there shall be no geocaching at night. PLEASE NOTE: coordinates for the cache will usually appear 15-20 metres out as the cache is located under a couple of trees
