This is the first of a couple of caches along this path which leads from Frowick Lane to Dead Lane.
The curiously named Frowick Lane is probably named after the 16th century Frowick Hall, which can be found about 900m south of the suggested parking place. A 21st addition to the area are the fields of solar panels which may be seen just a short distance from the layby.
The footpath leads from the layby, along the boundary of a two fields which are sparated by hedges and trees. After about 200m, the path turns a sharp right and now runs between hedges and trees. As the path turns, you will see an area of private ancient woodland to your left which is Martin's Grove. The cache you are searching for is a vial sized tube, which may not look like one at first glance!
When you have hopefully found this cache, please replace it carefully and please feel free to walk a little further to our second hide of the day at the far end of this footpath.
