Airport Geocache Series
As a geocacher and private pilot, I’ve always wished there were caches within walking distance of the country’s numerous general aviation airports.
Well in an effort remedy the situation I've placed one near (not in) Goodspeed airport, CT (code 42B). Check out http://www.airnav.com/airport/42B for details.
The village of Goodspeed is very close to the airport and worth exploring while in the area. It has an opera house and a couple of nice restaurants, plus a cool bridge over the Connecticut River that is well worth avoiding if flying into runway 14!
Please note your tail number and originating airport in the log, if you’re a pilot.
If not, consider flying lessons. It’s a LOT of fun!
Needless to say, all caches in this series are outside of the airport environment, and aren’t positioned on any structure/area that could in any way effect the safety of those flying in & out of the airports.
