After the Hill Fire, I disabled a large number of caches that were in the burn area. Today a partial contingent of the FCC (SoCalifSue & Big Foot Moose) wandered down the Edison fire road to check on a number of our caches. This one, What to do with the debris of trail building?, was one that I placed during a COSCA Trail Work day, where we cut a new trail (which became first section of the Peninsula Trail) into new territory. Now, the debris has been vaporized, and so has the cache
So, after the Hill fire (atHf) I'm placing new cache in this location.
Previous Cache Description (still generally valid)
Building a new trail opened up a new spot for a cache
COSCA had their semi-annual Trail Day event on Saturday (10/16/2016), building a new trail, about a 1/3 of a mile long, with great views. It cut into unhiked territory, and provided an opportunity to place a new cache, near where I was working. The cache is a camo'd vitamin bottle, larger than a micro, but not a small, with room for micro-trackables and mini-swag. No pencil, so bring your own. It is hidden under a piece of material Big Foot Moose removed to make room for the trail.
If you come from the suggested trail head (about a 1-1/4 mile hike one way), then it's best to walk past the shortest path to the cache to the apex of the trail, and approach from that direction - less damage to the newly created slopes, and an easier slope.

Happy Caching! A cache a day keeps the doctor away
Feedback is always appreciated on the difficulty/terrain ratings, cache descriptions, etc - thanks.
