Building work on the new Cattle Market off Eastgate Square began in 1870 to clean up the city streets from the fortnighly Wednesday 'Beast market'. Livestock auctions are no longer held in the city though a weekly market still runs from this car park each Saturday and a Wednesday market is held along the nearby East and North Street. Bring some extra pennies with you to grab a bargain if you are visiting on either of these days!
This is a busy car park so please be careful with young geocachers. This is also a high muggle area so stealth will be required!
