La chiesa di Sant'Oronzo fuori le mura è un santuario nel quale fu martirizzato Sant'Oronzo, patrono della città di Lecce; l'edificio viene anche chiamato in dialetto Santu Ronzu te fore o La Capu te Santu Ronzu. Già in epoca antica sorgeva in questo luogo una piccola cappella dedicata al santo, decapitato all'alba del 26 agosto del 68 d.C; all'interno del cortile è presente una cisterna dove secondo la tradizione la testa del santo rotolò una volta tagliata.
La chiesa è una costruzione in pietra leccese che presenta un unico semplice portale d'ingresso ed è sormontata da una grossa cupola visibile da tutte le campagne circostanti.

The church of Sant'Oronzo outside the walls is a sanctuary in which Saint Oronzo, patron of Lecce, was martyred; the building is also called in dialect Santu Ronzu te fore or La Capu te Santu Ronzu. Already in the ancient times in this place there was a small chapel dedicated to the saint, beheaded on the 26th of august of 68 a.C; inside the courtyard there is a tank right where, according to the tradition, the head of the saint rolled once cut.
The church is a construnction in Lecce stone with a singular, simple portal with a big dome, visible from all the surrounding countryside.
