This cache is the spiritual successor to No More Steps - a cache recently archived in the same area. That was a poorly conceived cache which was not worth replacing when it disappeared. This cache is a little better. Well, more effort went into it anyway.
To get to this cache you have to ascend a lot of a steps. Well "only" 200 or so which is considerably fewer than the Camp Eldson route. Like its predecessor, this cache was placed to mark the transition point where the steps end. It always seems like a convenient place for a breather so you might as well stop to find a cache while you're here.
The cache requires some minor work to get at the log. It's not complicated enough to called it a field puzzle - let's call it an obfuscation to make things a bit more interesting.
Note that dogs are not permitted in this area - it is a DoC reserve.
