[E] The curch "Nicolò di Coccau" is situated above the village Tarvisio. An old legend say, that around the year 815 a rich pilgramage "Nicolo Koggau" was on the way to italy and got robbed by bandits. He made a vow to build an church on this place if he would be able to continue his jurney. His baptised name was chosen for the patron of the altar. Inside you can find some frescos of an unknown austrian painter. Also impressive are the holy 3 kings of an other painter. (sorce: wikipedia.org/wiki/Coccau) [D] Etwas nördlich, oberhalb von Tarvis liegt die Kirche San Nicolò di Coccau Der Legende nach war um das Jahr 815 ein reicher Pilger namens Nicolo Koggau nach Italien unterwegs, der von Banditen überfallen wurde. Er legte ein Gelübde ab, an der Stelle eine Kapelle zu errichten, wenn er die Reise glücklich fortsetzen könne. Der Heilige des Taufnamen des Stifters wurde als Patron für den Altar gewählt. In Coccau befindet sich die Kirche San Nicolò di Coccau (erbaut um 1100) mit Fresken eines unbekannten österreichischen Malers aus der Schule Giottos.
