On 04/25/2019 I started archiving a series of geocaches I had placed from Thacher State Park to Minekill State Park. As part of that series I had the Thacher Park Travel Bug Hotel. I felt that Thacher Park still desirved to have a TB/Geocoin hotel. Since the new spot has a view and more easily accessed it should be better than the last one. From the location of this cache you can see Massachusetts, Vermont, Albany, NY, Adirondacks, and much more. The container is a big ammo can with plenty of room for trinkets and TBs/Geocoins and there are two unactivated TBs for the FTF. Permit # 2019-001
PLEASE REHIDE THE GEOCACHE UNDER THE ROCKS TO KEEP IT HIDDEN FROM MUGGLES. I WOULD ASK THAT IF YOU WANT TO TAKE A TB OR GEOCOIN, THAN TAKE IT. THE IDEA ABOUT A TB/GEOCOIN HOTEL IS TO HAVE A PLACE TO HELP STAGNANT TBs/GEOCOINS AND ALLOW OTHER GEOCACHERS TO HELP MOVE THEM ALONG. ALSO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LOG THE TBs/GEOCOINS AS SOON AS YOU CAN AFTER PICKING THEM UP OR DROPPING IT OFF. AS THE OWNER OF THE CACHE I WILL ALSO MONITOR THE TRAVELERS TO SEE IF I CAN HELP THEM ALONG ON THEIR JOURNEY.
SINCE THE CACHE IS NEAR A PARKING LOT YOU MIGHT NEED TO BE STEALTHY DURING CERTAIN TIMES OF YEAR BECAUSE OF MUGGLES.
