Park on the south side curb of Harvard Avenue, find the path sign marking one of the access points to the hillside's east west trail, and head down for a pleasant stroll along one of the City's seldom-visited dirt trails on municipal parkland along the south side of Government Hill. Be bear aware here - this trail is used occasionally by young black bears on forays into the industrial areas and Ship Creek down below, as they travel from the Port and Elmendorf AFB across Government Hill. The cache owner has run into them - up close - several times along this trail right around here!
The small camo bison tube is hidden in the top of a stump on the south side of the trail, just about a foot off the trail's edge. Please keep a piece of camo on top of the hide site, and note you may need a TOTT to access the little camo beast. The whole point of this hide was to bring you to a trail you've probably never traveled, right alongside one of the busiest places in our city. It's a great spot for locals and visitors alike. Just keep your head up and make noise while you travel... ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ
