This reserve for which is surrounded by Hacket Cresent and Mc Callum Street is a nice copse of gum trees. A breeding ground for many types of birds local to the area.
Magpies were quite common, as were the Ravens (Crows) Wattle birds, Honey Eaters.Willy Wagtails and Blue Wrens On some evenings in the summer time, Black Cockatoos fly in to rest, before continuing further East to their overnight nests. This event has been disrupted in the last year, due to the influx of the noisy Correlas that roam around the area, avoiding the council bird scarer. This cache is located on the reserve and only a short walk to the Lions Bush walk where there is another cache to find.Of course many prefer to drive onto the Bush walk and will possibly miss observing some of the birds high up in the trees.
For those who have dogs, it is a good place to walk your dog (on a leash) Plenty of sniffing places to keep your fur baby occupied The cache is a mint tin container with log and pencil and sometimes a TB to set on a journey.
