Legendary boxer and Louisville native Muhammad Ali passed away on June 3, 2016 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

On June 10, Ali's funeral was held in Louisville, KY. A motorcade procession began at 10:35 local time and took the coffin past Ali's childhood home, the Ali Center, the Center for African American Heritage and then down Muhammad Ali Boulevard. Fans lined the streets as the procession completed the route. Chants of "Ali! Ali!" broke out along the route, and fans tossed rose petals on the hearse. A memorial was held at the Yum! Center in downtown Louisville and was attended by many dignitaries including Bill Clinton, Billy Crystal, and King Abdullah of Jordan. Pall bearers included Will Smith, Mike Tyson, and Lennox Lewis.
