Another Gadget Cache for the (GCHC) Gadget Caches Of Harris County Series. This is the FIRST Smart Cache in this series.
A 9 volt battery is required and I have left one at the GZ BUT as we all know they do go dead and maybe even disappear. I would bring one just to be safe.
I understand alot of Geocachers do not take time to read long descriptions, and YES I am one of them, but please take a minute and read this to learn how the smart part of the cache works.
You will need to key in a 4 digit pin to access the log, I have put some instruction on the cache its self.
Open the cache - You will need a 4 digit code.
After you key in the 4 digits you must hit the * key, if the code is correct you will get a GREEN light and hear the latch open. If you key in the wrong 4 digit code you will get a RED light. You must hit the # key as a reset before you make another attempt.
Lock the cache
The latch is programmed to close in 5 seconds, it is OK to still have the door opened. Once you have signed the log and replaced it, simply push the * key and the latch will open, shut the door and wait for the latch to close.
PLEASE REMOVE THE BATTERY AFTER THE DOOR IS SECURED AND PUT IT BACK IN ITS ORIGINAL LOCATION.
