This cache is set around the base of the eastern cliffs at south head. While finding this cache you will be met with stunning views and beautiful sandstone formations unlike any others in sydney. This cache is NOT on top of the cliffs but down by the water. In order to access the cache you must go out to the end of south head down onto the rocks and start traversing back along the cliffs on the east side (towards the open ocean). This will get you to the coordinates and the location of the cache. This cache is better suited for the able bodied as it involves some climbing and a few tricky thin sections. That being said have fun and go as far as you feel comfortable, the cache is placed at the furthest point we could reach along the rocks but there is plenty of stunning scenery prior to the grab zone so even if you find that it is too hard to reach the cache enjoy the surrounding area as it is all very pretty and an amazing area of sydney.
WARNING: This cache is a terrain 5 and involves some dangerous and difficult climbing over and around rocks. These are all in close proximity to the exposed ocean and there are possibilities to get injured. This cache may not be as well suited for geo-kids or geo-pets. Please make sure you are with a buddy and take it slow. Don't push your boundaries and only go as far as you think you are safely capable of going. At no point should you have to enter the water during the traverse along the rocks. Mobile Reception is limited at the coordinates due to the steep cliffs. Please be safe and calculated while finding this cache, the last thing we would want is to have someone get injured because of our cache. Enjoy and be safe :)
