Questa cache è nascosta nei pressi del Sacello del Sisemol; si tratta di un piccolo contenitore che contiene solo il logbook per cui è necessario portare con se la propria penna. Il sacello sorge su un punto panoramico che domina la conca di Asiago: buona caccia e godetevi il panorama!


Il Sacello

Collocato su un colle, appena fuori dal centro, in direzione Bassano, si trova il Sacello della Madonna del Carmine. E’ un sacello votivo, innalzato sul colle Ferragh dalla popolazione di Gallio a scioglimento del voto contratto il 15 ottobre del 1944, con il quale i galliesi dapprima avevano richiesto l’aiuto celeste in propria difesa e successivamente avevano voluto ringraziare la Vergine per aver realmente protetto il paese dalla violenza cieca della Seconda Guerra Mondiale.
Infatti, durante gli ultimi anni del conflitto, l’Altopiano era invaso dalle truppe tedesche. Questi, si vendicarono sulla popolazione civile per le rappresaglie dei partigiani, distruggendo e bruciando case e deportando giovani e vecchi. Per questo motivo, Gallio chiese aiuto alla Vergine al fine di salvaguardare il paese e i suoi abitanti. Al termine del conflitto, Gallio si rese conto di non aver avuto problemi e rappresaglie dall’esercito tedesco, che pur non gradito, si comportò discretamente durante il periodo di permanenza nel paese. A tal proposito, la cittadinanza volle che il giorno 16 luglio 1946, dopo la rituale processione sul colle Ferragh, fosse benedetta la posa della prima pietra del sacello votivo. Un anno dopo fu inaugurato.
In seguito, durante un violento temporale, la statua della Madonna, retta sulla cuspide del Sacello, fu colpita da un fulmine e si frantumò. Venne ricostruita e si colse l’occasione per foderare e rendere più sicuro l’Edificio sacro.
Dal punto di vista architettonico il Sacello è di pianta ottagonale, con una statua della Madonna collocata sulla cuspide, ad imitazione del tempio elevato sul Monte Grappa.




This cache is hidden near the Sacellum of mount Sisemol; it is a small magnetic container that contains only the logbook so you need to bring your pen with you. The sacellum stands on a vantage point overlooking the Asiago basin: good hunting and enjoy the view!

The Sacellum

Located on a hill, just outside the center, in the direction of Bassano, there is the Sacellum of Madonna del Carmine. It is a votive shrine, erected on the Ferragh hill by the people of Gallio for the dissolution of the vow contracted on October 15th 1944, with which the Galliesi had first requested the heavenly help in their own defense and subsequently wanted to thank the Virgin for actually protected the country from the blind violence of the Second World War.
In fact, during the last years of the conflict, the Plateau was invaded by German troops. These took revenge on the civilian population for the reprisals of the partisans, destroying and burning houses and deporting young and old. For this reason, Gallio asked the Virgin for help in order to safeguard the country and its inhabitants. At the end of the conflict, Gallio realized that he had not had problems and reprisals from the German army, which although not appreciated, behaved discreetly during his stay in the country. In this regard, the citizenship wanted that on July 16th 1946, after the ritual procession on the Ferragh hill, the laying of the first stone of the votive shrine was blessed. A year later it was inaugurated.
Later, during a violent storm, the statue of the Madonna, standing on the cusp of the Sacellum, was struck by lightning and shattered. It was rebuilt and the opportunity was taken to line and secure the sacred building.
From an architectural point of view, the Sacellum has an octagonal plan, with a statue of the Madonna placed on the cusp, in imitation of the high temple on Monte Grappa.
