This cache is an ammo can on the northern end of the Gerard Hiking Trail just outside of Oil Creek State Park. The trail is a 36 mile loop through Oil Creek State Park with plenty of nature, views, and waterfalls. This cache placement is designed to get people exploring the park.
Please start out at the coordinates for the trailhead. There are a number of parking options near the trailhead. The cache is about a 1 mile round trip on the trail with about 130 feet of elevation gain. From the hide location, you can hear the operation of the historic Drake Well.
