Stenson To Willington Batty Haven Traditional Cache

To continue the walk between Stenson and Willington along the Trent and Mersey Canal you will pass the Ballast pond which is a small pond area full of wildlife. The pond was formed from where the ballast for the nearby railway was dumped and then dug out. You will see lots of bat boxes in the area and even a bird box or two. To find the cache you will have to be taller that my 5 foot 2. You do not need to climb any of the trees with bat boxes on nor indeed do you have to climb a tree at all. The cache is above head level in the bowl of the tree.
