Geocache Description:

Wiggly Trail

Following the placing of caches in the “Klavdia to Pyrga Valley Drive” series I decided to continue to search this area to locate additional caches alongside asphalt roads with ease of access.  (see note below)

This series consists of 13 caches along marvellous country roads that twists and turns through the mountains and valleys with some great views.  The overall length of the trail is approx. 20 kms

Some caches are down tracks, with pull-in/parking areas on the main asphalt road, followed by a short walk (maximum 75 metres)

I strongly recommend that you commence with cache number 1 which is located just past the village of Lythrodontas. where the start waypoint coordinates are N34 56.683  E033 17.652  This will enable you to witness the glorious views ahead of you.  In addition, the trail is basically circular, so you finish up back on the main road

NOTE: After Cache number 11 (Chapel View), proceed down the concrete track to the right of the chapel, which in parts is narrow with sharp bends, but perfectly ok for a car.  However, part of the track towards the base of the valley is not paved with concrete.  Venturing this far by car in dry weather is fine – but in wet weather could be a problem.

After Cache number 13  (Valley Bottom Bridge) follow the main (unpaved) track and this will take you back to the asphalted/main road.

Many caches on this trail to provide a great day driving around with plenty of coffee/picnic areas (so I suggest you take your own, as not many restaurants around)

Finally – please replace all caches as you find them for enjoyment by others – have fun !!
