8ManAfter: Unfortunately, and as others have noted, the significant logging in the area has driven this cache somewhere underground.
I went out for a look over the weekend, and indeed, it looks like scorched earth. I'll try to place another nearby, if the time/place is right. As it is now, there is no good reason to bring people here anymore.
