I grew up in this small town and lived for several years in the house at the end of this road. I dubbed this road Lonely Lane while living there as a pre-teen and even had my mail sent to "Lonely Lane, Lynndyl, UT." I have walked and rode my bike up and down this dirt road more times than I could ever count and it brings back memories every time I come for a visit including lugging my huge saxophone case to and from the school bus stop where the road meets the main road, crashing my bike resulting in my first set of stitches, and getting snowed in or "mudded" in when the dirt road (much nicer now than it used to be) would be so muddy and pocked with giant pot holes that we couldn't drive down it without getting stuck.
When I lived here, the cemetery used to be part of a cow pasture with the cows actually grazing around the headstones. After I moved on to college, a fence was put up to separate the cemetery from the cows, a gate and archway, and nice grass was put in. It now has an angel statue, a monument for a townsperson killed during WWII, some small benches and more. I hope you enjoy this serene, little spot in the world just off Lonely Lane.
