Join us at a brief gathering to celebrate GeocacheAlaska! Inc.'s relationship with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, as well as many community partner organizations, at Potter Marsh. Find us on the grassy field east of the parking lot*. After our brief gathering, you are encouraged to stay and help provide information on geocaching. The usual social fellowship might be accompanied by special bling drawings.
We are recruiting 'field assistants' to help GeocacheAlaska! Inc. present geocaching to members of the public visiting Potter Marsh during this day from 11am to 4pm. If you're interested in helping interested persons learn how to use a GPS or an app to find several close-by day caches, indicate your willingness in your 'will-attend' post. We're looking for persons who can help out during one and a half hour shifts from 10:30am to noon / noon to 1:30pm / 1:30pm to 3pm / 3pm to 4:30pm. You're certainly welcome to spend the entire day with us as we talk about getting outdoors as part of geocaching Alaska!
Please note parking is limited. Carpooling in encouraged.
New this year, the event is expanding to include Bird TLC's new facility and V. Rae's studio, both reachable by shuttle.
