Geocache Description:

One of the things I love most about caching is how little pockets of areas are revealed while I'm on a search: That's how I found this lovely little spot. You don't have to take the scenic route that I took when I stumbled upon this area, but I would encourage you to wander around. Also, your geopooch would probably appreciate the extra walk! At this moment, the City of Rocklin has taken over the golf course that was abandonded by its owners. Sunset Whitney Recreation Area holds a lot of promise and I was lucky enough to participate in the Sunset Run last year (2018). Thank goodness that developing this area has been halted... for now. (There is talk by the City to connect Rocklin Road with Farron Street by going through Johnson-Springview Park.) Enjoy the walk, and have fun! If you are vertically challenged, you may need a TOTT.

A loud shout out to Budzdunwerkin for being the FTF! And many thanks for being persistent! :-)
