Welcome to NZ Mega 2020, and welcome to Auckland, and to New Zealand.
This mega event is all the 20's! It's a mega event to celebrate geocaching in the year 2020 2021 2022 - 20 years of geocaching, and the 20th anniversary of the very first geocache hidden outside of the USA: You guessed it, right here in New Zealand. And now that it's postponed to 2021 2022, we can celebrate 21 22 years as well!
NZ Mega 2020 will be held on the 22nd of January 2022 and is being based at Alfriston Hall in the South Auckland suburb of Alfriston.
This event is operating under the traffic light COVID framework and as such, VACCINE PASSES WILL BE REQUIRED for entry to the venue or the grounds.
This is not just Auckland's mega event, this is New Zealand's mega event. And everyone is welcome!

*NZ Mega 2020 was originally to be held over Labour Weekend 2020, but was postponed due to the worldwide COVID-19 crisis and the risk of travel restrictions, quarantine and limits on public gatherings having a massive negative effect on the event. The event was been postponed by one year to Labour Weekend, October 2021, and has now been further postponed to January 22nd, 2022.
