75 YR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION GEOCACHE CHALLENGE

Meet at 8:00 am at the above coordinates, Band Shell at Penn Lake Park to start the event.

Wrap-up Time: 6:00 pm

ITINERARY:

.

• Event Location - The event will start and end at the Band Shell in Marathon's Penn Lake Park

.

• The event is open to everyone

.

• Anyone wishing to learn more about geocaching will be teamed up with experienced geocachers

.

• A few GPS's will be available for new geocachers or anyone else wanting to try out geocaching

.

• A series of new caches will be developed and published by the town's local geocachers. "Out-of-town" geocachers are welcome to set up caches

.

• Caches are to be placed within the Town of Marathon boundaries

.

• The listing of the geocaches will be available on the Tuesday (June 25) before the event. This may give enough time to solve puzzles caches. Arrangement will be made to have the geocaches published on Tuesday before the event. This should be noted on any geocaches you are putting out - put in "Reviewers Notes" section

.

• For any geocaches to be put out for the event, please have the reviewer delay publication until Thursday, June 27 - put in "Reviewers Notes" section of the cache write-up

.

• To organize scoresheets, please send a list of any geocaches you are setting out to cache owner (above)

.

• Please do not search or find the geocaches until after the event start time (8:00 am)

.

• A new series of geocaches is being developed for the trail around Penn Lake

.

• Return to the Band Shell for the wrap-up at 6:00 pm to submit your day's geocaching results

.

• Members of The Beagle Clan will tally the results

.

• Prizes to be awarded

.

• Take a group photo

.

• Have fun, Everyone leaves to enjoy the park
