NOTE - MARCH, 2021: THIS AREA AND MANY OTHER AREAS WHERE WOOD WORM CACHES WERE ORIGINALLY PLACED HAS SEEN A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN CAMPING. WE CANNOT CONTROL WHERE PEOPLE (MUGGLES) CAMP IN USFS LAND. ABSENT ARCHIVING THIS SERIES OF CACHES, WE HAVE CHOSEN TO KEEP THEM IN THEIR ORIGINAL PLACES AS PLACED BY 2SPIRITS. PLEASE DO NOT LOG IT AS A DNF BECAUSE: 1) YOU DIDN'T LOOK FOR IT BECAUSE OF MUGGLES, AND 2) MULTIPLE DNFs MAY PROMPT A REVIEWER TO ARCHIVE THE CACHE. SO PLEASE USE COMMON SENSE AND STEALTH IF THERE ARE CAMPERS IN THE AREA. IF YOU CAN'T GET IT, COME BACK ANOTHER TIME AND MOVE ON. THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING.
To honor the contributions made by, and the hours of fun the caching team of 2spirits has given geocachers over the years, the 3C’s Posse decided to go on a hunt for eight rogue wood worms displaced in 2014. These special caches needed to be reunited with the rest of it’s kind. A search of the Verde Valley far and wide resulted in finding this cache’s new re-burrowed location! There are 40 in this series. Can you find them all??
This cache is on Arizona State Trust Land and a recreational permit is required. Annual permits can be purchased online at https://land.az.gov/natural-resources/recreational-permits
In typical 2spirits fashion, this cache is once again here to be found. Below is the description from the original cache page. Thank you 2spirits!! Enjoy the hunt!
Log only BYOP. Extraction tool will be needed
DO NOT OPEN ANY GATES OR CROSS OVER THE FENCES.
THERE IS NO REASON TO FOR THE CACHE.
(Make sure you put the cache back just like you found it)
Spoilers Indicating Location of caches will be deleted
Congratulations to tabbles for FTF!
