Geocache Description:

I've always wondered what this wildflower was call, I've seen it growing along roadsides and in fields.  Chicory is in the Aster family, and blossoms from April to October.  The flowers are usually a violet-blue but occasionally white or pink flowers .  The long tap root was commonly roasted and used as a substitute for coffee, and it' leaves can be used in salads.  Don' think I would try either!   Cache is a quick park n grab.  You will need a pen.  Tks.
