Bleeding_heart and I have got a free day with nothing on the calendar, so I thought it'd be a perfect time to make the drive from the Quad Cities to visit Squaw Creek for the first time, and I hope some other cachers can join us! We'll be at the posted coordinates at 10 and shortly thereafter will start on some hiking trails - of course grabbing caches along the way. I'll keep the logbook at my car - so if you can't make it at 10, no worries! You can still sign in and enjoy the day at Squaw Creek. If you arrive after we've left parking and want to meet up with us, send me a text (563-529-3462). Also, don't forget to bring plenty of water and snacks, maybe even pack a lunch in a cooler.
Cache to your own limits! I've never been here before so I don't know what to expect, but feel free to tag along with us for as much or as little of the caching experience as you want.
Camping is availble! The park offers 60+ campsites. It's the next best thing to the Double K-D Ranch. Check their website for availability.
Squaw Creek Park is a 700-acre forest preserve/campground. It's home to over FIFTY caches!
