Geocache Description:

Pandurra Station was establshed in 1895. It is one of the oldest pastoral leases in South Australia. The Nutt Family has owned Pandurra since July 1st 1895.

The Pandurra woolshed and original shearer’s quarters were built around 1860.  Pandurra woolshed was originally 24 stands which means that 24 shearers sheared the 70,000 plus sheep that passed through the shed in the 1870’s. The property was 317 square miles (203,000 acres) in those days.  As a result of redistribution of leases Pandurra was reduced to 165 square miles (105,000 acres).  Since 1979 Pandurra had increased in size to 1000 square kilometres (250,000 acres) with the addition of Myall Creek and Lincoln Gap Stations. The three properties carried between 25-30,000 sheep and 150 head of cattle.

The cache is easily accessible. Please ensure you park safely and take care if you need to cross the highway.

There is an unactivated trackable as a FTF prize.
