When you arrive at the intersection, you will find yourself in Indian Territory. On one side of the road, you will see an outpost where you can buy firewater, and just past it on the other side of the road, a place where the local volunteer posse gathers to put out fires! Turn onto the road that bears the name of an historic battle fought between Indians and white settlers.
Follow that road past the trails with names of famous Indian warriors, until you see an intersection that "bears" watching. Once you pass the house on the west side, keep your eyes open on that same side for a recessed metal stock gate. Climb over the gate and....
NOTE: If it's nasty and indigenous to this area of Texas, there is a small chance you may encounter it on your hike. This includes, but is not limited to: rattlesnakes, scorpions, gaudy giant centipedes (NO, I am not joking) and prickly pear cactus. At times, there also may be a horse or two about.
