Relikt der Vergangenheit?

Agenten aus aller Welt, Ihr befindet Euch in der Nähe vom ehemaligen Gelände des DDR-Funkhauses.

Wenige Tage nach Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieges ging der Berliner Rundfunk als erster Nachkriegssender auf Sendung. Platz für die Produktion bot das im Westteil der Stadt liegende Haus des Rundfunks.

Anfang der 50er Jahre musste der Berliner Rundfunk jedoch raus, weil sich der ideologische Konflikt zwischen Ost und West weiter zuspitzte.

Ein neues Funkhaus wurde gebaut. Diesmal im Ostteil der Stadt, an der Ortsgrenze zu Köpenick. Das Funkhaus in der Nalepastraße bildete den Gegenpol zum Westrundfunk. Hier wurde Radio gemacht, in einem Funkhaus der Superlative. (Quelle: www.ddr-funkhaustour.de)

Relic of the past?

Agents from all over the world, here you are near the former site ofthe GDR radio station (German: DDR-Funkhaus).

A few days after the end of World War II, "Berliner Rundfunk" was the first post-war radio station on air. Space for production was provided by the "Broadcasting House" (German: Haus des Rundfunks) in the western part of the city.

However, in the early 1950s Berliner Rundfunk had to leave because the ideological conflict between East and West intensified.

A new radio house was built. This time in the eastern part of the city, on the border to Köpenick. The radio station in Nalepastrasse formed the counterpart to the Broadcasting stations in the western parts of Berlin (German: Westrundfunk).
