Fayette Central Seniors gather on the front lawn. -Connersville News-Examiner
In 1899 a two-room school house with assembly hall was built in Harrisburg. In 1910, it was remodeled although 20 short years later, in 1930, it was condemned. A new building was built shortly thereafter. With the consolidation with Fairview School in 1968, the school was renamed Fayette Central. The building was completely remodeled in 1976. The gym and stage on the north side are the only remaining parts of the old Harrisburg School. Today, the school is an elementary school - Home of the Hornets - for grades Pre-K - 6th.
