This cache is part of a themed set of 4 caches at the Old Konuto Mine site.
This cache requires a bit of a walk to and down the road mentioned below (the old Ore Haul Road) if one stops their vehicle at the entrance boulders. It can also be accessed by quad or bike or side by side etc. or driven close to by truck or SUV. (Stop at the Berm!)
Don't forget to look for the coresamplers lol! Feel free to bring home a souvenir!
This minesite has been closed down and is now reclaimed. When a minesite has been reclaimed, it is supposed to be put back to it's natural state by the mining company. Local people now use this site for walking their dogs, quadding and dirt biking etc. From this site going to the right, one can access a disused road (the old Ore Haul Road) which connects to the Birch Lake Road. There is also a nice little lake on the road to the left if you are inclined to go further.
