Il Carpine è un albero tipicamente europeo. Si riconosce dalle piccole foglie a punta di lancia e seghettate. Questo esemplare è inserito nella Mappa degli Alberi Monumentali della Regione Veneto, ha la scorza a lunghe scaglie, simile alla vite e radici profonde, adatte ai pendii ed ai luoghi scarsi d’acqua. Le stime dicono abbia 120 anni, si erge solitario sopra un dosso da cui domina la vallata dell'astico e delle bregonze a nord e il monte summano sullo sfondo.
come arrivare:
A Calvene, oltrepassata la piazza del municipio e della chiesa, dopo poco si trova a sinistra la via Bordogni, proseguire per due chilometri circa fino a che si prende a sinistra la via Piani (waypoint) procedendo per un altro chilometro, oltrepassate alcune case sulla destra, la pendenza della starda si affievolisce, subito dopo, a un bivio si puo parcheggiare l'auto. sulla sinistra si trova una panchina lungo la strada, sulla sinistra in cima ad un poggio si vede un armonioso CARPINE NERO di circa 120 anni. Da qui ci si immette nel breve tratto prativo che porta alla cache.
La cache è un contenitore in plastica di dimensioni medio/piccole che contiene logbook, matita e alcuni oggetti, puo contenere trackables e geocoins.
La cache NON si trova nell'albero, ma a pochi metri dallo stesso. NON arampicarsi.

From here you enter the short grassy section that leads to the cache.
The cache is a medium / small sized plastic container that contains logbook, pencil and some objects, it can contain trackables and geocoins.
