Geocache Description:

Brief Local History

Since 1880, there has been a water station at this junction. The West Kent Water Company built a steam-driven pumping station here, technology has advanced with this current company though.

In referencing local history, we must tip a hat to the Langford family. The 17-strong line of family members that helped supply generations of Londoners with water and waste services from 1850 to 2018. In total, the family spent a combined 428 years (at least) working in the same field. That's impressive!

Cache details

You are looking for a magnetic micro, you may need tweezers. The area can get busy, especially around school times and rush hour, so please do pause for thought. It is subtly retrievable. Please place it securely back where you found it, making sure that the lid is fully on.

If you haven't signed the physical cache, your log will be deleted.

Good luck!

Congrats on the FTF to Polkadance!
