Growing up, I remember spending time in locations like these--specifically on Memorial Day and Labor Day and some other seasonally warm holidays. My family always went to take care of family gravesites. My brother and I would run around looking for the oldest birthdates on headstones while my parents planted flowers. Today I still find cemeteries so peaceful. They are a place that not many people spend time and it's easy to find solace in one. So interesting that the first cache that I ever found was in a graveyard as well. Cemetery caches are some of my favorites!
This is the first cache in a series of cemetery caches. This is a very small cemetery that is in some disrepair. The headstones are old and this one is no longer used. I noticed this one soon after I moved to the area and I thought that it was a great place for a cache!
This cache is close to a church, so please be respectful of service times and don't search on Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings.
As with any cemetery cache, please be respectful of those interred here.
