This bird is common in this area. Sadly one flew into one of our windows recently.
I learned recently that I was confusing this dove with Mourning Doves. The latter are found throughout North America, while these live in the desert Southwest and Mexico. Like the Curve-bill Thrashers, White-winged Doves are often seen perched on cholla cacti. I planned to name this something else, but I saw more than one Dove in a cholla on our way here.
Ammo can cache. Should be fine, but be careful with potential dangers hidden in these rocks.
