The mini explorers decided that they wanted to hide some geocaches in some of our favourite family spots. As with all the places we tend to visit, this location is suitable for little legs without too much moaning! Close Sartfield itself is a nature reserve and this cache has been placed with the kind permission of the lovely folks at Manx Wildlife Trust. There are unfortunately no dogs permitted in the reserve. The cache can be reached without the need to leave the boardwalk. And if you're really lucky you will see a wallby or two on your travels! We did when we placed this, much to the delight of all! Further information about the site can be found at http://www.manxwt.org.uk/reserves/close-sartfield. Take your binoculars as there is a a hide at the end of the short, flat walk for a bit of wildlife watching! Parking is on site. The reserve is found on Windmill Lane in Ballaugh which can be a bit tricky to find, but good old Google maps will take you straight there without issue. The entrance to the reserve itself is signposted, although you won't find it signposted from the main road.
