Kristaus Prisikėlimo šventovės statybos ir atstatymo istorija vaizdžiai atspindi visos lietuvių tautos XX amžiuje nueitą kelią.

Amžiaus pradžioje Lietuvai atgavus nepriklausomybę kilo sumanymas Žaliajame kalne pastatydinti gražią bažnyčią kaip Lietuvos nepriklausomybės paminklą. Pirmosios nepriklausomybės laikotarpiu (1922-1940) propaguota paminklinės bažnyčios idėja, augo įkurta parapija.

Didžiulio užmojo statybos darbus nutraukė sovietų okupacija ir II pasaulinis karas. Po karo nebaigta statyti bažnyčia rekonstruota į radijo gamyklą. Ateistinio sovietų režimo įšalas atsileido tik 1988 m.

Prasidėjus Atgimimui visuomenėje kilo iniciatyva atstatyti simbolinės reikšmės šventovę. Darbus stabdė atkurtosios Nepriklausomybės laikotarpio ekonominiai sunkumai. Vis dėlto 1997 m. dar pastoliais apramstytoje šventovėje aukotos pirmosios Mišios.
Ant Kristaus Prisikėlimo bazilikos stogo įrengta ekskursijoms atvira terasa ir Šiluvos Švč. M. Marijos koplyčia. 2004 m. pabaigoje šventovė iškilming

The history of the construction and reconstruction of the Christ's Resurrection Temple is a vivid representation of the path that the Lithuanian nation has traveled in the 20th century.

At the beginning of the century, when Lithuania regained its independence, the idea was to build a beautiful church on the Green Hill as a monument of Lithuanian independence. During the first period of independence (1922-1940), the idea of a monumental church was promoted and the parish was established.

The Soviet occupation and World War II broke down on ambitious construction work. After the war, the unfinished church was reconstructed into a radio factory. The Attack of the Atheist Soviet Regime Crashed Only in 1988

When the Rebirth began in society, there was an initiative to restore the symbolic sanctuary. The work was hampered by the economic difficulties of the restored period of independence. However, in 1997, the first Mass was sacrificed in the shrine still under scaffolding.
On the roof of Christ's Resurrection Basilica there is a terrace open for excursions and Šiluva Švč. Chapel of Mary. 2004 The sanctuary is celebrated at the end of the 19th century
