This is a recycled cache from the archived Freddy's Demise. The terrain is a mixture of unkempt natives and overgrown Macrocapa. This is one of the places where the Heathcote River begins. So the nearby barbed wire fence is there for a reason. Absolutely no reason to cross.
Entry is best from McMahon Drive, although there is unlimited parking at Nga Puna Wai. You will need to do a bit of clambering, but nothing too serious.
