Geocache Description:

---This cache is part of the Fayette County Bicentennial GeoTour---

Weaver School was also called District 5 School. Children from Bentonville and the surrounding area walked to this building. By 1878, it was overcrowded and the upper grades were moved to the old Methodist Church in Bentonville. Now, the school is in bad shape, but still there.

The land owner has asked the any visitors not visit the original site of the school. There is not much left to the ruins and they can be very dangerous. You can see the original site just back through the tree line.

Please make sure you use parking coordinates provided and cautiously walk to the location via the road.  There is not room to park off to the side of the road.
