Last Christmas season, we handmade two unique gadget caches for a Christmas Cache Exchange event.....out of the other caches available, we liked our own Rudolf cache the best.....so we stole him back in the White Elephant gift exchange!! LOL!!
Because shaky hands, children, and absent minded geocachers may unwittingly cause Rudolf to lose more of his marbles, we are placing him along a public Rails to Trails Hiking Trail that runs behind our property for ease of maintenance! This trail is flat terrain and easy walking, though not neccessarily handicachable due to the gravel possibly being a bit rocky for wheelchairs. This cache is attached to an exsising fence post so it is definitely winter-friendly, though you may need snow shoes to make it to GZ in the winter! It is a little under a half mile from the parking area (See parking coordinates) to this cache.
Once you come along Rudolf, you will need to figure out how to convince him to reveal his treasure in order to sign the log book ~ If you cannot open him, you will not be able to log a find. This is a field puzzle gadget cache, so you MUST open the cache to sign the log to get a smilie for it! After you figure out how to convince him to reveal his treasure,(DO NOT TURN HIS ANTLERS!!) please put everything back the exact same way you found it so the next geocacher can have fun too!
