Rex is our geocaching buddy and is included in our caching name, he is the hound!
He was born at Rannoch near Naracoorte 9 years ago. Rex spent much of his formative years on farms, he is a prolific hunter and loves killing. Mice, rats, rabbits all fair game. He has hunting in his blood, he would love to get a kangaroo (no chance Rexy!) and his ears will prick up at the mention of a Roo, or if he spies one from the car he is itching to be off.
Rex is a great worker and loves helping shift sheep in the yards. Rex has helped us sniff out many geocaches, often I am asking him where the cache is and will look round and there he is sitting with the cache! He also loves climbing trees, he wishes he could climb them like possums do, something else he would like to hunt if he had the chance.
Rex has had a few mishaps in his time, really he is lucky to be alive. From jumping out of a ute on a farm road at 80kms an hour to give chase to a hare to jumping out of a truck window onto concrete he has really given his body a battering. He is still up for a big walk and a gallop when he can be bothered.
Since we moved to Adelaide Rex spends most of his time sleeping. He has become pretty lazy but he does love a good day out country caching.
When we get to 10,000 caches Rex will adorn our celebration pathtags.
