I’d went hiking at this location recently and noticed this part of the game lands (officially called Jordan Game Land 4) did not have any caches despite a fairly nice hiking\biking trail. This trail is in close proximity to the Eagle Spur Trail so seeing an eagle (closer to the lake) or other wildlife is always a possibility.
Parking at the entrance to this site could be an issue, since there is only room for one vehicle so I’ve also provided alternative parking coordinates a short distance away.
This cache is a bison tube placed off the ground and hopefully above what I expected the flood zone for this area to be. As these are all small, please bring your own pencil\pen. Since this area adjoins the Jordan Lake Watershed, mosquitos\ticks will be an issue in the Spring\Fall so please come prepared.
Most importantly, please keep in mind that this cache is on North Carolina Gamelands so during hunting season (which are posted at the entrance to this site) please either wear blaze orange or only visit on Sundays.
