Hollow Oak Land Trust - Kenmawr Conservation Area Traditional Cache

Welcome to Kenmawr Conservation area! Several years ago some boy scouts were developing a trail system here, but it hasn't been followed up and the area is mostly over grown now.  I recommend finding the Hollow Oak kiosk sign (see waypoint) and proceed to the right from the sign toward the creek. You can follow the creek to the cache. you will need to cross the creek. The property has several bench cut roads  and some sporatic faded pink and/or orange ribbons that mark the proposed trails.  The area is open to archery hunting (by permission - through Hollow Oak Land Trust) so wear orange in hunting season.  You may even notice a tree stand near the cache. This IS NOT a flip flops and shorts kind of hike.  This can be a brutal area with jagger bushes and weeds, hills and mud. Check for ticks afterwards! Eventually this area will get a developed trail system.
