Here within the Molongolo River Reserve you will find an old forgotten causeway crossing the river. From the debris on the river banks, you can see that in times of flood the water levels can get quite high. The sound of the water flowing over the causeway is quite pleasant and soothing, though I would not recommend attempting a crossing with water flow, as it did look quite slippery. Nearby are interesting rocks to hop about.
Plenty of bird life too... including a magnificent Nankeen Kestrel perched in a tree alongside the Woodland Track.
Easily accessed by walking along the Woodland Track (note, dogs, bicycles and horses are not allowed via this track) and then exiting at the rest area over the gate, following the old vehicular track down to the river, another over gate, then a through gate will have you close to GZ. The last gate straddles a solar powered electric fence, and for that reason accessing cross-country could be hazardous.
