Basketball is BIG in Connersville, and it is home to one of the most iconic high school gymnasiums in the state. The Spartan Bowl is known to many as “The Grand Palace on Grand Avenue” and with a capacity of 5,134, it’s among the biggest in the state. The facility has been witness to two state championship teams in 1972 and 1983. The “Grand Palace” nears its 6th decade of use and is still in great shape, offering basketball memories to a generation of fans of Connersville High School.
